Nightmare at Mile End

So we had a Halloween party last weekend and everyone made such an effort with their fancy dress. I was Sookie Stackhouse (such a True Blood fan), and we also had dead Ginger Spice, Pulp Fiction's Mia, a killer clown and baby, a Jack the Ripper victim, Cher Lloyd, a devil, The Crafts Nancy, a skeleton and a lot more turn up. All photography by Georgina Hunt who's blog you can also check out here

Words can't really describe the mess left the morning after...

But it was definitely well worth it!

Go to this; Street: Fashion, Portraits and Interventions

The London College of Fashion show at the Printspace Gallery at 74 Kingsland Road all this week. An exhibition of new work from students, including the very talented photographers Emma Gibney and Alex Wilson. So get your bums down there if you know what's good for you.

Editorial heaven

Click Papermode to see an archive of fashion editorials put together by Trendland. They hope to create an archive of editorials from, well, ever. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

And if you wanna see the making of KM3D-1...

Sheer to stay

Looks like sheers sticking around for S/S '11 which is fine by me as I really lav the look.

Want, want, want!

I want these little Jeffrey Campbell Lita beauties so bad. They're so similar to the Charles Anastase shoes I blogged about a while ago here

Raquel

Seeing as it's fashion week (I should be there but I gotta be in the office at WGSN! There's always February), I'm having a model moment and another legend in the modelling world has to be Raquel Zimmerman. I met her a few weeks ago and she was one of the nicest, most normal and down-to-earth people I think I've ever met, and she's been in the fashion industry for over 10 years now.
Here she has paired up with ShowStudio's Ruth Hogden in a video featuring Gareth Pugh F/W 10.

Kate Moss

Despite being plastered all over everywhere all of the time, I still don't think I'll tire of Kate Moss. She's looking hot in her dominatrix editorial in i-D’s 30th Anniversary edition (I'd probably kill for those vintage Vivienne Westwood heels) shot by Nick Knight, and I'm loving the styling.

She's also teamed up with AnOther magazine and artist Baillie Walsh in a 3D video called KM3D-1 where she shatters into a million little Swarovski crystal pieces.

You can find 3D glasses in the latest issue of AnOther. It reminds me of the McQueen hologram she did for the opening of his Fall 2006 collection, and subsequently the Flake advert which has an uncanny resemblence to McQueen's hologram...

Unconditional Love

Wang can do no wrong, each collection just gets better and better and keeps me endlessly lusting after every single piece. The only thing this time is that it's a very white collection (apart from the odd pastel and copper  piece), and as much as I instantly fell in love with it, I think as far as white goes, I'd only be able to manage wearing a tee of some sort. Despite him ditching his trademark black, and my favourite colour, I can still look and love.

Update

I haven't blogged in ages due to being mega busy and finally graduating with a BA in Fashion Journalism, go me.

Graduation day had us watching Vogue's editor Alexandra Shulman recieve an honourary degree by UCA, and being presented with our very own scroll by British fashion designer, Zandra Rhodes herself.

So with the Class of 2010 now behind us, I think it means I gotta grow up and be a real person....wish me luck.

A few more images

that Emma shot on 120 film the other day.

In other news, who else is kinda enjoying Lucy Beales's comeuppance on 'stenders?

Day 11 - A photo of you taken recently

It's not a photo of me, but it is a photo of some published work of mine, check out the latest issue of Ballad Of magazine, it's sold in Magma, RD Franks etc.

The sun has finally got it's hat on

and I need a pair of these

Day 10 - A photo of you taken over ten years ago

I think this was taken just about ten years ago when the Spice Girls, hairbands, platform shoes and sportswear was all we had to think about. Can you tell which one I am?

Day 9 - A photo I took

I've been so bad at blogging lately and really getting behind on the 30 day challenge that I'm beginning to regret starting. Although it might take me longer than the 30 days - due to my macbook charger breaking, popping to Wales for a few days and it being my last week of uni ever - I will finish it, eventually.

As I just mentioned, I went over to Wales for a couple of days over the weekend for a break away from London. I went to the beach, on a boat, swimming, and generally basked in the sun that's finally arrived, and here's a photo I took of the views of the Abersoch/Pwhelli coastline. Nothing to do with fashion, but a nice change all the same.

As I mentioned earlier

it's our final major deadline tomorrow and I've spent the past ten weeks making my own magazine so I thought I'd let you in on a sneaky preview of Obscur...

Day 8 — A photo that makes you angry/sad

I'm posting twice in one day as I haven't had time to blog with it being our final major deadline tomorrow and all the printers have broken the day before. To be honest, it was inevitable, when don't the uni printers break the day before a hand in?

Anyway, this photo was taken on a night out back in 2007, around the beginning of uni. It makes me sad because I finish in four weeks for ever, and as much as there's been a lot of lows with the highs, I'm gonna miss it!

Day 7 - A Photo that makes you Happy

Holidaying and falling off water rides with my two sisters and rach last year. I need more sun, sea and sand in my life.

Day 6 — Whatever tickles your fancy

I came across this image and liked it because, let's face it, it's true right?

Day 4 — Your favourite book

I'm not sure what my favourite book is (if we weren't mentioning Harry Potter of course...) so instead I'll just mention how much I enjoyed reading the Michael Alig interview by Christopher Bollen in the latest Interview magazine, 'cos that's like a book, right?

I want either of these hairs

please. I need a few more inches on my length for the first image and about one more inch on my roots for the second image, thanks!
